The project was developed for ALSEA México, the official franchise operator of Starbucks in the region. This project involved the comprehensive adaptation and execution of an existing building into a new Starbucks aligned with the brand’s international standards, focusing on functionality, aesthetics, and customer experience.
The project is located along Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas, one of Mexicali’s main commercial corridors, characterized by high vehicular flow, nearby shopping centers, and dense mixed-use development. This strategic location ensures strong visibility and accessibility for customers.
The design emphasizes a welcoming and contemporary environment, integrating Starbucks’ signature materials such as warm woods, industrial accents, and natural lighting with finishes adapted to Mexicali’s desert climate, focusing on thermal comfort and energy efficiency.
Phase 1: Project Review and Adaptation
Review and coordination of the base architectural and engineering plans provided by the franchisor.
Adaptation of finishes, furniture layouts, and technical installations to align with site-specific conditions and local building codes.
Selection and specification of materials, lighting, and interior details to reflect Starbucks’ brand identity and ensure durability under local climate conditions.
Phase 2: Construction Supervision
On-site supervision of the civil works, ensuring strict compliance with quality standards, design intent, and project timeline.
Coordination between contractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
Monitoring and verification of structural, electrical, and mechanical installations to ensure functionality and compliance..
Phase 3: Installation and Commissioning
Oversight of the installation of equipment, furniture, and interior/exterior finishes.
Final adjustments to ensure operational readiness according to Starbucks’ global requirements.
Delivery of the completed store within the established timeframe, budget, and quality expectations.
